The fastest way to reach Shimla from Chandigarh: by Air

The distance from Shimla to Chandigarh is approximately 112 kilometres and the road distance takes around 3.30 hours to reach from Chandigarh to Shimla. Now the inauguration of the Heli Taxi Service has reduced the journey time between Chandigarh and Shimla to 20 minutes. This new mode of transportation was an enthusiastic joint effort of the state government in association with helicopter service operator Pawan Hans Ltd. The to-and-fro journey between Chandigarh and Shimla is operated twice a week to begin with: on Mondays and Fridays.
